Melanoma vaccine

A cancer vaccine prepared from human melanoma cancer cells. It may be used alone or with other therapy in treating melanoma.

Mastectomy, radical

Removal of all breast tissue, from just under the collarbone to the abdomen, including the chest wall muscles and the axillary lymph nodes in the armpit.

Mastectomy, subcutaneous

Removal of breast tissue, using a minimal incision. This type of mastectomy may be used to remove small areas of suspicious or cancerous tissue, but it can also be a cosmetic surgery procedure.

Mastectomy, prophylactic

Removal of one or both breasts without the current presence of cancer. This surgery is sometimes chosen as a preventative measure by women who have a strong history of familial breast cancer.

Massage

Malignant tumors that arise in the lymphatic system. There are several subtypes of cancer classified as non-Hodgkin lymphoma. All originate in and spread via the lymphatic system.

Large-cell lymphoma

Cancer of the lymphatic tissue that is characterized by unusually large cells. See also lymphoma.

Vesiculography

The use of special X-ray equipment and a dye to examine the seminal vesicles and related structures. Vesiculography is most often used when prostate disease or cancer is suspected.
