My mom is 83 and has dementia,

my partner same age and she does crossword puzzles all day but she is starting to forget things Cost are just getting out of hand - I am just starting to lite the fire now - the cold does not worry me that much but it does with the partner currently I just set the air conditioner at a low temp and she has one of those heated throw rugs - the price of firewood is soaring also on the farm I just cut my own woodbut in town have to buy it. I have problems carrying the wood - I start to get muscle flares even picking up a nice bit of iron bark to put into the fire creates pain. Monday on its going to be very cold down here so will have to have the fire on

I got fire going now. I don’t like the cold at all.
My son gets all my wood in ready for me.
Mom has the heater going and when I go up there ( in her granny flat) it’s stifling hot .

Look what I found at coles yesterday. Whoo hoo. Proper Vegemite and gf. I have tried the Vegemite and cheese flavour . It’s not strong like the original which I am about to get into . Cheese, Vegemite and lettuce Sanger coming up.

I got most Vegemite jars/cups. Been collecting for years.

A new $1 coin featuring a slice of Vegemite toast on one side and the Queen’s face on the other has gone up for sale.

The Royal Australian Mint released the coin as part of the 2023 Year Set this morning, which includes six coins. The $1 coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic spread, and features a coloured slice of Vegemite toast with a bite taken out of it.

What a view. Sitting at the beach waiting for my ( new) dr appointment, oh boy I hope he is friendly, I need to keep seeing this dr till I get a call off other clinic, I am on there waiting list to get in. . Shame it’s so dang cold.

Well that was a right bugger.
after that photo I thought “yeh Nah” too cold for me to sit there so went back to the car. Agh nice and toast in there. Few minutes later my phone rang. The dr is away today. I asked for someone else in the clinic as I have driven 45 minutes for my appointment and this will be the 4 reschedule.
She was actually sorry this time and fitting me in tomorrow at their other clinic with the same dr.

I love sloth

Wasn't my nature, my wife once gave a sloth book to me in the hope of inspiring me to hyper less.
But I'm getting better at being one, it's becoming an art, the Art of Sloth (hmm, that reminds me of "Heart of Lothian"...)
Manoeuvring in flower beds is I think my biggest challenge at the moment. When I have to hold myself in a certain difficult position for a minute or two and then find the nimbleness to get back out without ripping any flowers off. But sloths need help for antics like that, too...

my problem is if I have to pick up some thing I dropp[ed on the floor I have to be careful not to fall on my face, I think when we get older we should get shorter or our arms should grow longer - I was thinking of getting the builder in to raise the floor
seeing the rheumatologist tomorrow

Harpy put a picture on the top of sloths (that's why I said about em ). I think they're cuddly. I want to cuddle them every time I see one, those claws, though!!! , (guess you'd get a good back scratch)

I love sloths too, love watching how “fast” they climb and more about, lol suits me to T.
