St. John's Wort was the worst as far as side effects. Medicine interactions caused the side effects I think.

Yes, sorry, been using 'sfx' since seeing it in the URL (address) of a website; similarly fx for effects.
Meds gave me the worst sfx, a few supps/herbs did too, ashwagandha, & sleep stuff: 5-HTP, L-tryptophan & melatonin. (Putting my duo GABA/glutamine out of balance by overdosing one over the other too, but as they are a blessing to me that carried no weight.)
Thanks for clarifying the SAM-e sfx may've been the meds.

It's also important for women on birth control to note that taking St. John's Wort can stop hormonal birth control working properly. A warning I always appreciated!
