On going rib pain.

Hi all,
First, like many of you who suffer/struggle with fibromyalgia and its lovely bag o' tricks, I'm thankful that I've found a community of peers who understand...even though I don't wish this on anyone. Anyway, I have been dealing with an on again off again sharp pain in my ribs towards the middle upper part. Sometimes it's on the left, other times the tight and on nights like this when it's in rare form...it's both. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like someone is digging their fingers into that are in my ribs and it renders me unable to take full breath of air of move without tears and more pain. Heat sometimes helps, but not long term. Does anyone else experience this? I have had all kinds of tests and xrays and nothing is determined to be causing this issue. I just want to understand why this is happening and how to best treat it. I'm so tired of being in pain

Hi there, Valkyri, and welcome!
Praps you haven't seen our thread here yet about rib pain often being costochondritis, if everything else has been checked. The treatments (stretches, acupressure points and more) on youtube can help us, usually better than gentle physio specialists.
