JayCs, they are my favourite flowers yet, do you grow poppies? I have a tattoo of a poppy on my wrist in memory of my dad
Auriel, I love your wishes, it will get me up dancing in my dreams . I had an awesome day with my family, but , yes there is always a but. My grandsons brought over their motor bikes and well I got a little quad out and went hooning in the mud with em yes was awesome fun only a nice cold drink aloud me the courage to do it. I can definitely say it’s was worth the pain today. And a very hot shower to wash the mud off

Well, standing on the shoulders of giants.... ~1 new blossom a day, praps 30 altogether... This was the first on the 29th, 5 today, coming up soon...

That’s amazing, I never give it a thought to grow them , they to me are like tulips, in my too hard basket.

Don't know if starting them up would've been a problem.
But all these tulips I planted last September definitely weren't (2-10), I think they all made it.
Except 7 tulips in complete shade in front of the composter which I kept trampling over, not realizing they were there. Only 1 of those made it, #10, braveheart! I'm hoping now with the flagstones they have a better chance, even there, otherwise I'll have to replant them.
(I think I've shown some of them before here and #10.)
But I never did one of the cherry blossom carpet ones: #8.
