Day 22

As some of you might know I am trying to improve my over-all well being, by trying to lose some weight and lower my bad LDL levels in my bloodwork. So far I have managed to stop the constant cravings for sugary products and also stop cravings for other no no's by eating a higher protein diet.

I start my mornings with a small bowl of oatmeal with fruit and coffee with stevi instead of sugar.
For lunch I eat healthy sandwich or salad, with glass of water or unsweetned juice.

For supper I am trying new things, by using new recipies and doing make-overs on others. Some are regular foods and others vegan, and some of those I am finding to be quite tasty.

One thing that was slowing me down was the keeping track of what I was eating and drinking, so that I could be sure of a balanced diet. I wrote things on papers, then lost the papers. I tried tacking it up, then forgot to write in what I ate. Memory problems! Need I say more.

So I went online in search of free charts and found what I needed at (chartjungle), do a web search. I printed out daily food charts and a simple food chart to keep track of foods I like and don't like, like soy. I even found a chart called 8 glasses of water a day. Now I am charted up and keeping things straight in my mind makes planning my meals a lot easier.

I am hoping that by losing some weight it will improve my fibro by taking a extra few pounds of fat off my weak muscles, thus making exercise and housework easier to do and keeping the painful muscles in a calmer state. At the very least it will make my doctor happy and surprise him that after all these years I found something that works long term.

I might be wishful thinking, but if possible for me to do this the look on my doctor's face will be priceless. And I will get the last laugh for a change. lol

Well I guess this is all for now. Today, I am feeling good and hope it lasts the next few days. It is snowing like crazy and that means I will have to shovel a bit of snow in the near future. UGH! That means soon the pain will be back in full force.

Then I can lay on the sofa and watch movies. :)

See you all next time.

Hi 1Sweed,

I wanted to share with you a great site that does all of what you are doing manually in one place. I've really enjoyed this site and really cannot afford other online programs... so here it is...

I'm a very new member here and just added you as a friend because you also moderate. I hope to make lots of other friends here and really do need a support group. I'm doing a ton of research on supplements and more healthy solutions than the mainstream drugs that are being prescribed that cause so many harmful side effects. Thanks....

lynnnelson.
It is really nice of you to share, but adding links to other sites only defeats our purpose here. This forum helps people who have fibro to have a spot to share with others. If we add links to other sites then before long this forum would cease to exist and fibro members would not have a safe place of their own. Many places provide forums and support, but this is our place to build friendships and help others newly diagnosised to learn about the disease and how to cope with it's many symptoms.
