Day 12

Sometimes I come to this blog all filled with energy and many ways of welcoming in our new members. I want everyone who comes to feel very welcome and know that this forum cares about them. But sometimes I feel like a one woman show because I struggle each time to say enough hello's and get you newbies settled in and posting, and yet a few of you slip by the way side and start feeling that no one cares.
There are so many new folks coming on board everyday that just one person to welcome you in and answer that post is not enough, so I am saying to all members, keep an eye on the NEW POSTS, at top of header. Everyday take time to welcome at least one new person into the forum and tell how the forum works and about all the topic's to post on. We all started feeling lonely and depressed, at a time when we need to feel that someone or anyone is listening to us.
Then by some bit of luck we find a forum that fits. It has all the right stuff and gosh, we feel at home here. Everyone is talking and sharing, and soon we cling to our little groups of friends and forget those who are arriving every single day.
They too need welcomed into the fold and they need their questions answered and they to want to be noticed when they post replies. I came just that way needing that hug, letting me know I found a safe restful place to visit and share my joys and sadness with people who truely understood the pain and heartache I was feeling.
Now 456 posts later I know that this forum is a good thing and I am glad I am a part of it.
So get cracking guys and gals, I know deep in your heart that you care for everyone on this site and the ones that will set foot here tomarrow, looking and hoping to find new fibro friends. And will be happy to find the door is wide open and there are friends inside.:)

Just wanted to say thank you to all who read this post and have taken the time to go back and welcome other new members. Today I went back 10 pages and found people who were missed. Needless to say some of those folks posted once and never posted again. How lonely and depressed they must feel that no one said hello. It made me feel kind of sad.
Anyways, your doing a great job and I am glad your all thinking about others, as well as yourselves, as we deal with fibro. :)

Thank you for reminding people to welcome the new! I am one of the new members and happy I found it! I just joined tonight and am enjoying exploring. Looking forward to connecting and sharing with fellow fibro friends. I will make sure as I get more familiar and comfortable with this forum that I welcome the new myself. I have experienced what you are talking about on a different forum and it is very depressing when you are already struggling! Catliz
