Supplements I take

Also, I appreciate your response! It means a lot and makes me sad knowing others are suffering like me! I wish we all could find the magic supplement or pill that made us all better.

I'm sorry for everyone who has disease that no one takes seriously because I have it and I suffer silently. I have had it for about 25yrs now. I suffer alone and I do the best I can for myself. My family; don't understand and don't want to understand. Thank God I live alone. Today it's raining and I'm just exhausted. It's all I can do is just fix me a little food and back to bed. This is depressing.

@Retta , I am sorry things are so tough for you, and I understand how you feel, as do many of us here, so you are not entirely alone, even though we are not there. It definitely can be depressing.
I have learned from my years on this forum that most people report that their family doesn't understand and makes no effort to do so.

One thing I always say is this: Don't expect ANYone else to understand what it is like for you. The fact is, it's literally impossible for anyone who has not experienced chronic pain to understand what it is like, and wanting people to understand leads us only to frustration and despair. So try not ever to expect that, and then you won't be disappointed.

Instead, I simply ask that people listen to what I say, and believe me, and not give me a hard time ab out it if I have to change plans or otherwise accommodate my disability. And I very rarely talk about it at all, because people honestly don't want to hear about it.

I completely understand, it feels like nobody understands what it is like to have chronic pain and how exhausting it truly is! I have good days and bad days for sure! I feel like my husband wants to understand, but truly doesn’t and my son for sure has no clue! I suffer in silence as well, I know nobody wants to hear me say how much pain I’m in day to day and on each day I could have one joint or multiple places that hurt more than the rest or that it is colder out and I have no desire to leave the house because I know what that means for my body! It truly sucks and is very disheartening to have to suffer like we all do! My heart for sure goes out to you and everyone else on here that is suffering! Take each day as it comes!
I was reading an interview with Denzel Washington and he was talking about how in the morning try really hard not to grab for the phone first, if you need to work up to 30 mins to just relax and slowly get going! Allow your mind to ease into the day! Don’t let your day start off with social media and junk! For me, I try to start off with reading for a couple of hours and then let my day start! Hopefully you can find a relaxing routine for yourself and ease into each day! I feel like taking it slowly helps me get motivated to do a few things each day!

I had been vegan, no oils or sugar, for a long time. Then was told my joints are drying out and I should eat wild salmon, wild tuna and eggs. I added these. Now I’m hearing that I should eat more animal protein which I am loathe to do. Every part of me hurts and I don’t know what to eat or stop eating and neither do my doctors. I also went gluten free for quite a while with no help so I now have some, but very little, products containing gluten. Any advice?

@Drjoysan may I ask who has told you that your joints are drying out? Your doctors? Is this from arthritis?

And also who has told you to now eat more animal protein if not from your doctors?

I would ask the advice of a qualified nutritionist maybe, especially to ensure you are getting a balanced diet. Can a dr refer you to one for advice?

One GP, knowing i am vegetarian and could not take fish oils, recommended organic flax seed oil as a supplement.

Good morning! I’ve been carnivore/ketovore for about 6 months now. Everything I’ve been reading and watching on YouTube (legit doctors) talking about how going carnivore should help joints, arthritis, autoimmune diseases and other things as well.
I can say at first, I didn’t think it was going to help, but honestly, between the supplements and all the meat I eat, I’d say it has helped immensely. Is the pain gone, no! However it has helped significantly!
I’m advocating for everyone to do what is best for them and my way of doing things works for me. I can say that at times I’ve considered going vegetarian but have never fully gone vegetarian.
I hope you are able to find something that works for you. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Where are you hearing that you should eat more meat protein?
The thing is, for some people meat protein in addition to fish and eggs is the most healthy diet, and that is what I find is healthiest for me. I almost immediately start feeling severe lack of energy (even worse than the fibro already causes) and weakness if I stop eating animal and fish protein.
But for other people, a vegetarian diet or even a vegan diet is the most healthy. It all depends on your own individual constitution, which is strongly influenced by your genetic heritage. The only way to know what works for you is to experiment.

when you went gluten free did you just stop eating bread? Or, did you read every single ingredient label on everything you ate and make sure you were not getting even the slightest bit of wheat, rye, or barley in anything you ate? I ask because wheat is in just about everything, including condiments and many other things you would not expect to find it in. So, if you did not completely remove gluten from your diet you have not actually found out if eating gluten-free will help you or not.

When experimenting with these things, it's important to be sure that you are doing it completely, and for a long enough period of time. Usually, a month will tell you if it is working for you or not, but sometimes it takes longer than that and requires patience. No doctor can tell you what will work for you; only you can find that out for yourself.

@Retta I care about you. Please consider very seriously getting mental health help for your depression. I don't like to hear you suffering like this. There are people who can help. Please get that help and work towards better mental health and a better quality of life.

Hugs! 🫂
