Studies show.......

@sunkacola a book that is printed on actual paper! Whilst I appreciate the usefulness of e-books I am devoted to 'proper books'. When the UK went into lockdown during Covid I asked if I could move into our local library for the duration - with a coffee machine of course.

Avoid social media completely. i have a slight distrust of such things. And yep, only got a smart phone about 2 years ago - and only because a family member was upgrading to a newer version. Am crap at techy stuff. If anything goes wrong with it, I wait for a passing child to fix it for me.🙄. But I do use the ipad thing a lot - also recommended by a younger person who said it would be o k for us as its virtually idiot proof.
Got that wrong then didnt he ....
@BlueBells and @Rainbow I know I do use technology because its useful, but I dont want to be over stressed by any thing too complicated. I try to use it rather than it almost using me!

Hi @SBee , @Rainbow , @sunkacola

Yes, I have a mistrust of IT, although my children use it heaps, especially my son, it is his world, his work.

"social media" is, in my opinion, simply and open stage for uninformed people to think they know everything. "Influencers", well, I interpret that as gossips who not only lack substance, but enjoy the platform where they can spread nonsense as though it is the truth, and unfortunately, many believe everything they access online is genuine facts.

I am not into gossip, so I am wary of many things. Actually, my children are probably more wary than I am, and as I said, they use IT heaps.

Because of business, I am tangled with using the computer for many things I'd rather not, but there are no longer options.

Also, because of business, I've had a mobile telephone (before the whole word is obsolete :D) since CDMA first came to Australia. Wow!!! last century hahahahaha Very handy when every public telephone either broken or occupied.
