Hi, My name is Paul and have suffered from Fibromyalgia for about 5 years, diagnosed now for 3 years and struggling, have had to reassess work life, hardest part is the way my brain is wired, leads to more flare ups than not. From my pelvis/hips down on fire/ legs are swollen and heavy, migraines/fibro fog, forgetfulness or just plain staring for ages, no concentration, irritable, sleep insomnia, restless legs at night, needing to nap during the day, but the most scariest symptom I get is internal cramping(costal chondrites or something like that) some are close to the heart so feels like a heart attack, numbness etc. not going to lie, This is horrific, I’ve had weakened teeth/ very low iron/anemic, lacking in Vit D, and fail to absorb nutrition from food as I have been malnourished twice. Apart from that, everything else is decent.

Nobody has the right to be responded too, I know that, but it’s rude for every single person to skip by without saying hello to a first time user. Every single person!. That’s not inclusive, that doesn’t help one’s mental health, that just makes that person feel even more alone and in the dark without help. But every single person on here knows that!. Please remember this the next time someone bravely decides to sign up.

February 21st, no one going to welcome me no?. Not one message even hi? Shouldn’t have wrote my name is Paul.good day to you all.

Welcome Paul, great to see you on the board, I’d like to welcome you like every other poster that has signed up that has at least one person welcoming them. That’s not rude at all after 2-3 weeks after posting. Thanks for reaching out (not 1 single person) even though as a man it’s much more difficult to open up and talk and seen as fibromyalgia is mostly 90% diagnosed to woman it’s not as if as a man it’s harder to get proper conversations about pain etc. (especially within their friend groups etc, as the chance of another man that has this in the same town is going to be next to zero from your area) plus men aren’t allowed to show weakness by societal rules sure. (Shows weakness to other males and woman) that’s just fact.

If I had at least one response it would have gave me confidence to try and talk in the other threads. (I am the toner man in friends, always have been, I AM RIGHT HERE). Silent.
Aw well actions speak louder than words, nearly a month. Nothing,
Don’t bother now!, il not be here to see it. Shame.

I don't know how this happened. Normally, as people on this forum know, I and at least two others respond to every new member as soon as we see the first post, but I never saw this one until today, nor was it in a moderation queue. Sometimes the computer program can do strange things.....

At any rate, I am sorry it happened, and if by any chance you do see this, @Burns79 , we do welcome newcomers and will welcome you properly if you decide to return. My greatest apologies that you felt ignored....that shouldn't happen, and I regret that it made you feel understandably ignored. That's not the kind of forum this is. We are here to help.

Hi @Burns79

I haven't been on much lately, very busy and trying to avoid flare ups. I really do understand the 'staring blankly" problem, and that's why I I've not been on much.

I so know how it feels to be not noticed, so I try very hard to always comment, even fleetingly, so that newcomers know they are noticed and welcome here.

Like @sunkacola , I only saw your post this evening, although I haven't been on for a couple of days, but I always have a quick look when I sign in to reply to those with no replies.

I've only seen these two posts, not the third one yet. Please hang in there. As @sunkacola said, some odd glitch caused your post to not show up for some reason.

Looking forward to seeing you again.

Welcome to the forums 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗 :):)

Hello @Burns79 I too am sorry your post disappeared, I did read your post elsewhere regarding cannabis and your ( shockingly expensive) experiences with Curaleaf. I had not noted you were a newcomer. I hate the thought that you seemed to be ignored. Coming onto a forum you hope for levels of understanding and support. I also hope you feel able to continue, if not posting here, then reading others experiences and ways in which to live with fibromyalgia. Take care
