I take probiotics like you and just generally eating less seems to help not put pressure on the digestion.
 
This may not work for everyone, but for me it really helps to eat a lot of fiber. My IBS tends toward constipation. Dietary fiber doesn't get rid of it completely, but my IBS definitely gets a lot worse when I don't eat enough fiber. I also eat live culture yogurt most days.
