Wait... he really exists? Sleuthing around even more... . Ah, in the books originally an ordinary conman, "using elaborate magic tricks and props to make himself seem "great and powerful"." Yeah, I'm sure that's how you could describe me! In later books introduces mobile phones to Oz (1914!), balloon-powered Ozoplanes (1939) and intelligent taxis (Scalawagons, 1941). The possible model was a balloonist and stage magician at P. T. Barnum and disappeared in a balloon in a storm 1875. I'm not intending that myself, but who knows what will happen . Sounds an interesting way to go - or again just the biggest trick of them all...

yeah @Stressedout it’s like being in a fog or a quagmire and you don’t know which way is up and you feel invisibly trapped, it’s hard to get out and it’s hard for people to understand who’ve not been through it, the ptsd that comes after’s a nightmare
