I have been reading Dr Liptan's The Fibro Manual, still in progress as I am taking it slowly at implementing various suggestions before moving on to the next suggestion applicable to me. I do recommend it.

The real reason for this post is to let everyone know that Dr Liptan is broadcasting her First Fibro Show Live on February 16th (already passed), but still viewable on YouTube: 'The Fibro Show First Ever Live'. Search for that on YouTube if you are interested. I have not watched yet but plan to carve out some time this week to view. I believe she will be continuing these shows although I do not know how regularly. I may post again at a later date if I find out more about scheduling.

For those who are not familiar with Dr Liptan:
Ginevra Liptan, M.D. is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, board-certified in internal medicine, and trained in functional medicine, a holistic approach that blends both western and alternative medicine. After developing fibromyalgia as a medical student, Dr. Liptan spent many years using herself as guinea pig to find successful treatments, and has fine-tuned her approach by treating thousands of patients.

She is the author of The FibroManual: A Complete Fibromyalgia Treatment Guide for You and Your Doctor and The Fibro Food Formula.

I am listening to the first show now. It is mostly about introductions, ideas for future shows, but primarily they are focusing on fibromyalgia and how it impacts our relationships. Seems to be focusing mostly on significant other/spousal relationships, dating (that DOES apply to me) and friendships. Since I'm single, I'm skipping parts of this first show (kind of jumping forward from time to time if something isn't applicable), but it reminded me of our relationships with our doctors. I wanted to let everyone know that, if you are not familiar with Dr Liptan's 'The Fibro Manual', I highly recommend it not just for it's overall content, written by a doctor with fibromyalgia, but also because in each chapter of the book Dr Liptan highlights things to discuss with your healthcare provider. I've seen a lot of posts since I've been here asking for advice on how to talk to your doctor. In fact, there was one posted today.

Dr Liptan's book might help those struggling with how to talk to their healthcare providers, so I do recommend it to you if you are one of those individuals. Again, I recommend it for all it's other content as well.

I'm looking forward to future Fibro Shows and have subscribed to the YouTube channel for this show. I think I am really going to enjoy it and I can totally relate to everything Dr Liptan and the host are talking about. Some good suggestions and some things that I already do. I'm finding it promising and helpful. Real good stuff!

I have her book & have watched her broadcast. A good deal to take in but I have implemented some of her strategies.

@Badger absolutely, my pleasure! I'm really looking forward to future episodes of the show. If you like it make sure to subscribe. 🤗

I've watched a handful of episodes, very interesting with some food for thought. In the latest about what Fibro feels like, they mention there is 3x more pressure in our muscles compared to non sufferers. It must be why my neck is in such a state 🤦

Thank you @Badger for reminding me that I need to go and watch some of the earlier videos she has done.
