Chronic pain and fatigue without opioids.Help i am hitting the pain wall?

I have been diagnosed since 2015 and always had opioids to help hide the pain.
fibromyalgia is a pick and mix of illneses put together.
But the problem is not one solution book, medication,exercise/diet product, or alternative method that fits all.
Since I had fibromyalgia, I rarely go out, wear nightwear most of the time.Cant stand wear bras.
But now the pain's it's worst than ever.I have beening living in a thick brain fog with opioids for seven years.
I need to have so time to help with my relationship and the mess in my home. Not to be in pain/fatigue as much.
Is my wish?

maybe it is time to ask your doctor if he can replace the opioids with an alternative - I find opioids do not affect my fibromyalgia pain they are good for my spinal pain but nothing much else - there are many non opioids medications for fibromyalgia. ,maybe just maybe a lot of the problems you are having is from taking opioids for so long. - just my thoughts on the matter

I have fibro , many spinal problems and other healt issues.
I was on very wrong meds for a long time till I worked out they were not helping and I was actually in more pain, so asked yo see one of the top pain specialists near me, took 7 months ( of sheer hell) to come off them. Now I try to keep my doses low and change meds rather than upping the dose.

But the problem is not one solution book, medication,exercise/diet product, or alternative method that fits all.
That’s true and talking with people and the way the try to keep onto of those dreaded flares and help there pain is a good start to helping what helps you.

I started to do the stay in me pj’s but personally I found it made me feel worse. To get up , wash and dressed helped me feel a little more “ normal” . Oh the brain fog can be so embarrassing 🙈.
I need to have so time to help with my relationship and the mess in my home. Not to be in pain/fatigue as much.
Is my wish?

I agree with Harpy that staying in and doing the PJs all the time thing can make you feel a lot worse. It's important not to push yourself too much, but at the same time it's also important to get outdoors and to exercise and do some things that are "normal" to avoid sinking into the pit of depression and helplessness. Wearing comfortable clothes is great, but if you can find your way to some that are not really PJs, that are attractive while still being comfortable that might lift your spirits. Going for a 10 minute walk, getting out to see a friend for coffee, watching the sunset, sitting in a park or being in nature and things of that kind can help a lot with your mental state, which in turn will help with your physical condition.

there are many things you can try that are non-medication based and that might help. To rely entirely on medications is unwise because as we all know the medications are unreliable. They can stop working, or be addictive, or become unavailable and then you are in trouble. If your pain is worse than ever and you are taking opiods, then it is time to take a different approach. Weaning off the opiods is hard, but if they are not helping and you are in a fog from them then they are only doing you harm.

Please read this post and start trying whatever you can among the suggestions. You may find that if you take charge of your health and approach it methodically and with diligence you can lower your dosage of the medication and feel better while also feeling less helpless. Starting with just one thing and going at it slowly but with determination, you can make a difference in your life. I know this because I did it myself, and others have done the same.

Well I'd have to say,first see a Dr and get meds changed ,maybe a nerve blocker.second you CANT,give up and stay in your pj's forever which your relationship and home goes to the wall.
Don't think for one minute must of us haven't been where you are as we have.Your in a flare which can last days weeks months.
You need to go outside,you need to move.you need to start by just getting dressed and doing your hair.it will do wonders.yes your be tired and your hurt ,but you would of moved a step forward. X
 
I am so sorry. I have been dealing with fibro for at least 25 years. I am 66. I have gradually gone from an active person, competing on horses, aerobics and working all day. Now I am on hydrocodone 4x a day and it still allows for break through pain. I am afraid almost to leave the house because something may happen to put me in a flare. This is not living. I have been with my rheumatologist for 23 years and she is supportive, but I just don't think anyone gets it that doesn't have this horrid disease.

Sorry to place a downer on things. But I am trying together up most Wash and still put pj's on. There is simply no point to getting dressed because I don't see anyone, other than my partner and postman odd days.
I want to go out but my mental health issues have showed themselves because I am in constantly conflicted inside. So I don't get dressed onless I have pain management appointments or go out with partner.And no friends or family.
I have never understood why i have no-one to call a friend.Untill I understood borderline personality disorder.
Other main issue is that after painful days skin seems so sensitive that it unbearable. Just wondered if anyone's the same, can not bear skirt,jeans or bras.

There are some days I can hardly bear to have anything touch my body or even my skin, and those days I wear the loosest things I own. I fully understand that.

But I find that if I stay in the same clothes that I slept in, all day and then sleep in them again, it leads me to depression so I never do that. Probably just how I was raised.......you always get dressed in the morning unless you are so sick you are staying in bed all day, but even then you shower and put on clean ones.

Most people will tend to go downward into depression if they stay in PJs all day, but of course not everyone.
If it makes you feel happier rather than depressed to stay in your PJs, then there's really no reason not to do it.
