    My story and vent

I guess this is more of a happy vent thing. So I grew up with everyone always thinking "oh Crystal is sick again". I was always in pain, always sick and always complaining about something. Even the school nurse thought I was making things up when I went to see her. The funny thing is, I...

    Painful Sleeping

How do you manage to sleep at least semi-soundly? It seems my b/f's sister has tried new pillow, new mattress, new position, and still finds it hard to get out of bed and can't even sleep through the night without tossing and turning. She tried a sleeping pill once, but she's got such a low...

    Here is my story!

I am new to the forum and like what I have read so far. I am in a major flare since February (2014) due to a series of stressful events. Within 18 months my husband suffered a heart attack (had 2 stents placed) and also underwent treatment for prostate cancer. (He is doing well currently)...

    Is heat or ice better?

Doctors always say put ice on sore muscles to reduce the swelling, and heat to reduce the pain. Often times, I can't decide which one my muscles actually need because they're swollen and in pain! I tend to automatically go to taking hot baths to help with my general achiness and fibro flares...

This illness is such a tease....Urgh!

I had my first, and I mean first in a very long time, pain-free energetic day on Saturday. It was wonderful. I rode our horse (just walked her around for half hour or so, nothing hard-core), brushed her down, spent time outside. It was my mom's birthday so we went to dinner and hung out at...
