I'm curious. Those of you with depression and FMS, what came first?
For me, I was depressed as a child, but was fine in my twenties. It wasn't until I started getting hard-core symptoms of FMS and lost my job that I became depressed.
Also, how many of you have FMS and are not depressed?
There are lots of theories out there about FMS/CFS. It's a thyroid problem, it's a digestive problem, candida, it's an autoimmune problem, etc. But not enough research is being done to get to the bottom of it. The reason for that is twofold, in my opinion.

Hi new on here and have been rx'd with FMS for almost 20 yrs. Looking to find new doctor in Richmond, VA who will prescribe meds I have been on for years. Currently taking Avinza 30mg so need doctor who will prescribe Opiates.
Does anyone experience more than normal joint cracking? When I fist started feeling I'll I was experiencing many of my joints constantly cracking and still do. Is this a symptom of FMS? Or should I continue looking into another diagnosis? Also, my hands are often swollen, is this normal as well...
