Hi!
I'm new to this forum, and I have a question that I am hoping someone with experience in this can help me with!
I have a family member who I love very much, but they are constantly convinced that if I would just do things "their" way, I will be magically cured of my fibromyalgia...
I may be new to the forum but certainly not new to the pain of fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with this in 2009. It originated as a pain in my chest when I tried to run. I had joined a gym several months prior with a personal trainer and was doing great...until I wasn't anymore. My trainer was...

Went to the doctor with a long list of pain- arms, shoulders, elbows, wrists, swelling in hands and feet, cold hands- always, daily migraines, severe jaw pain, inability to lose weight, thought I had dementia, never feel rested...the list goes on and on.
Have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism...
I am 67 years old and in hindsight have been suffering with symptoms of fibro for years now. At the moment I have a flare up with headaches, severe aches in my legs and arm and ankles. It is difficult to sleep at night because of the pain and I wake most mornings still tired and depleted. IBS is...
So now that I have been diagnosed, I am having trouble distinguishing what is fibro related and what is not. For instance, for the past 2 days I have been exhausted, having pain in my neck going down my right arm (feels like a violin string being plucked), both my shoulders and my elbows hurt...

I have only just began to learn about this, and to post here.
I have multiple auto-immune issues as well as fibromyalgia.
So I learn. My post today is about itching.
It is driving me nuts!!! I am not panicking about it being liver of kidney...
I have mentioned here before that I was trying to change my doctor due to the overwhelming urge to knock the first one into the floor. On my last visit to him, he refused my request for a referral to a rheumatologist on the basis of "a rheumatologist only sees patients with rheumatological...

I was diagnosed a year ago with FM by my general practitioner. At the time I was already on Escitalopram for depression and he prescribed Mobic for the pain. I also have bone on bone OA of both knees. The Mobic has helped my knee pain but for me, the worst pains are the "zings" that happen out...
I was diagnosed 19 years ago with FM. I went from doctor to doctor looking for anything that would help my symptoms of fatigue and pain from head to toe. Nothing ever helped me. My symptoms got worse and worse, and I became more and more depressed. I found a Rheumatologist who ran every test...
