Your white blood count points to some issue. You need to have a complete work-up. White count usually means some type of infection. It's even possible you've got some infection causing your muscle issues, actually.
Most doctors don't do a complete work-up, the simply do the basics such as...

What a nightmare you're going through. It's more than obvious that something major is going on. Are you eating and still losing weight or are you not eating? If you are eating--something isn't letting you absorb nutrients. With my daughter, her issue was her intestines--she absorbed nothing...

Muscle twitches alone don't suggest an issue--weakness and atrophy do. It won't cause joint pain, either. It also doesn't cause pupils to be different.
There are a host of problems that can cause your symptoms. My first stop would be to the GP for a work-up--blood, etc. Next, I'd ask about...

Re: A few major concerns
Does anyone here know, from their journey to diagnosis--if atrophy is possible with MS? I keep thinking that if I had ALS, I'd be worse than I am after a year of atrophy in my hands. Is that a valid assumption?
I know the neurosurgeon was concerned--but do EMG/NCVs...

I really need some help! My GP is useless (I am in the process of getting a second opinion). Sorry if this whole list reads like a novel but I need some objective answers from the real people that know and can point me in the direction I need to go, whether that be a neurologist (dr wont refer...

I really appreciate your reply's. My nuero did mention Fibrobut also said that she (as I) felt it is more of an illness that is not a real thing in and of itself but more of a label for people that really do have REAL issue's that dont fit in any one box. Meaning that fibro is a...

Margaret,
Hi again,
I would think that if you have had these issues for 3 yrs and no clinical weakness or atrophy, that it could be fibro? Or something rhuematic in nature. Try to rest easy.....
I tested 10 out of 18 on that test, he says no treatment needed and I agree. He thinks instead of fibro maybe myofascial pain syndrome.
C-diff is the recurrent colon infection that I had. It when bad bacteria take over good ones. it is caught from the hospital or from taking antibiotics. I got...
