Gone potty? Plants gardens and lawns .

Today went well, we had a lovely Mother’s Day. It was also my sons 35 th birthday. All year we pile up the sticks , branches that come down . The pile gets pretty big and we’ve always lit it on my sons birthday.
It was so hot. Lol . It will burn for a few days then we start again for next years party.

Does he like bonfires? Is it an Australian thing? (bonfires certain occasions?) we don't have many in wales (mostly bonfire night). Do you have marshmallows and jacket potatoes on them? (I bet it was very boiling!) 🔥🎂🧒🏻

I instilled the love of fires 🔥 lol. Oh yes definitely got to roast marshmallows. No potatoes this time as we took bbq down. The quads and other motos come out and we have such a fun night, BUT I am so sore, I am a fire poker, find it hard to just sit and watch for long as I got to be picking up sticks and putting them in, I like to try burn it all . Still going this morning but I about to go to an appointment so will check on it when I get home.

I was gonna ask about motorbikes (they popped into my mind : ) ah the diwn sides after the up sides of having fun 🙃, nevermind they'll plenty more upsides in future (take it easy now,) good luck with appointment 🧡🍀🧡

Yeh true, gotta take a lot of bad with the little fun we have. Watching my grandkids hooning around like their mums did at that is is very special. I even doubled the little ones around, but granma is too slow and they will push on the throttle and off we go, i pretend to scream in fear and the giggles I get is just heart warming 🥰
My appointment went good. Have to book in and get 6 more injections,
2 in neck right side C2/3 and C5/6
2 in thoracic, both right side T6/7 and T7/8
2 in lumbar left and right side S1.
My rheumatologist is writing a letter to my gp clinic asking for my meds to be supplied with repeats so I do to have to go back every 2 weeks.
I have an appointment this arvo so I will ask if my gp is coming back?

YES!, accept the bad/value the good, all those injections!!! 😳 and the lumbar one!, (probably a big needle from what I've see?) Yes repeats are MUCH easier than going back and fore all the time, good luck with appointment! 💝🍀🤗

Yes all those injections, Whoo a little relief coming my way.
Yeh the needles are huge and long. But pain wise they’re not bad, it only last a fraction of time and the numbing stuff kicks in, it gets uncomfortable. But for what pain my spine gives me the injections are nothing.
Haven’t had em in my T-spine for a couple years so looking forward to getting them done. With these 6 it will make my 60th injections.
Looking after a bubba today so will book em in tomorrow.
My appointment went ok, the new gp gave me 3 months worth of palexia 😅.
I asked the ladies at front desk if my dr was coming back? She said yes he has just extended his leave.
So for now I will stay with the new lady gp.

👍🏻 well done harpy, (good you can have some reprieve from the pain you're getting). I always look away from needles (in my mind, if I can't see them, they won't hurt so bad 🙂)

I finally had a chance to take a photo of my daughters elk horn. Check it out, it’s beautiful.

Wow, no question why it's called that! So that's a giantific flower that is growing in a tree.

The opposite now, most unspectacular:
I've started tackling my poor li'l baby one (flower that originally grows in trees), the Christmas cactus. Maybe it wishes it were on a tree. So from now on it's getting only rain water on its roots and sprayed a little, only once a week as soon as the surface is dry, some coffee grounds every 2-3 weeks, until August, then fasting till the blossoms come. Lemme see if I can coax out more than 6 blossoms this year.... Everyone else gets 100s.
And a money tree is one of my other big challenges, my wife overwatered one last year, after she thought it had got too dry, and it fell to bits inside of a week. So now I've been keeping a few leaves of it alive over the winter, but dry, and have now started to keep them damp, and they're slowly getting tiny new leaves, hope I'm doing this right...

Our 3 rhododendron colours are now fully blooming. As a bloke I never know how to call these different shades of pink, crimson and purple (in German I've named them pink and 'lila', but seem to have got even that confused in the process, have to ask my wife).
But the ones to the right of the white ones are hidden from our balcony view, making them kind of a secret.
Not the only secret plant in our garden. Quite a few hidden from immediate view, others had always been killed the years before.
All 3 rhododendron colours are actually surprises, in that their buds are a much deeper colour than the blossoms, so for instance the white blossoms come out of pink buds, the last ones (9+10) come out of red buds.

More secrets: As opposed to the rhododendrons, the burkwoodii type of genista looks sort of confused colourful from afar, as if the artist didn't quite know how to apply the colours well. But when you look at each blossom close up..... Pic#5 is how they looked in January...
The genista is in 3 colours too: burkwoodii is crimson with red and yellow in it, then a yellow one with some red, and the I spose "common" sort - just yellow... So we're a little bit back on the theme of yellow....
And as ever I'm on the theme of happiness and mindfulness... looking at the details of everything makes such a difference...
