I have learned that if you stay away from all nightshades, (tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, regular potatoes (sweet potatoes are not from the nightshade family), eggplant, etc, then that helps to cut down inflammation.  Regular daily intake of either gelatin powder or collagen helps to repair the myelin... the protective sheaths covering your nerves, and  greatly reduced pain and neuropathy can be experienced.  You may also want to experiment with no dairy, reduced processed sugars, etc.  They can also be a contributing factor.  Walk on soft surfaces as much as possible, such as grass, gravel, etc.  These surfaces absorb shock much better than asphalt and concrete.  If you can, supplement your day with something soothing to your body like Whole body vibration therapy, massage, the pool at the YMCA,  floatation therapy with the salt water in the pods... etc.  Whatever works to soothe your body.
