1sweed - Now, the trick is to get them thinking doing the house cleaning for you is fun. My grandmother had one of those cordless sweeper-style carpet cleaners that were basically a rotating brush and a dust bin, no suction at all. But I was CONVINCED that this thing was the coolest toy in the house and would sit and run it all over the house!
RE: strawberries - it's no guarantee, but maybe hanging pots on a shephard's hook away from anything the squirrels and chipmonks can easily jump from? And grease the pole so they can't climb up it (that alone is hours of entertainment right there!). We planted some succulents and some black cherry tomatoes and stevia, and I'm already finding that squirrels have been digging in the pots, dag nabbit.
Lazy day for me again today though. I really just did too much last Friday and Saturday. I did get up and straightened up a little bit before the maintenance guy came to replace the florescent light bulbs in the kitchen that went totally out on Friday night (5 minutes after the leasing office closed, of course!). He's a new maintenance guy and I really like him. He was even nice enough to go get me a nut from his supply of nuts and bolts to replace the screw knob on my walker. I called the company that sells the walker about getting a new knob for the bolt that holds the handlebar at the correct height. You unscrew the knob to adjust it. They wanted $15, probably plus shipping and handling (I didn't ask! I was too busy laughing!), and it was going to take a few weeks to get it to me. A simple nut of the sort you can buy for a couple of pennies at best does the job just fine, and he was even nice enough to bring a wrench along with him and fixed it right up for me.
I found out like so many things my physical therapy isn't covered until I meet my insurance deductible. On the other hand the lady at the rehab place that does aquatherapy was real nice and didn't make me jump through hoops. She just told me straight up what their contract rate is, and it's not much worse than going to a chiropractor and less than many massage therapists, so hubby said I can go on either Wednesday or Thursday afternoon. Yay! The lady at the rehab center said they wouldn't make me come multiple times a week, but would show me what I need to do so I can do it in any pool. The local pool offers a 16-punch card for $46, which would be 8 trips with my husband in tow, and we could do it on the weekends.
