Daniel J. Clauw is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology, and Director of the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center (CPFRC). The CPFRC is one of the world's leading pain research groups, and focuses on identifying the mechanisms and most effective treatments of chronic pain and fatigue syndromes. Dr. Clauw’s research interests on fibromyalgia, low back pain, stress, rheumatic disorders and Gulf War Illness have resulted in more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and multiple speaking engagements. He serves on several study sections and is a co-editor of Arthritis and Rheumatism, and serves as a consultant to the Institute of Medicine, CDC, the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and the National Institutes of Health.^[1]
