I want to know if I need a referral to see Dr. Baker? I feel like I am not been heard by family Dr. and he was very reluctant to file paper for me for disability and disability has denied me. What can I do, I am feeling like I am being made out to be a liar. I live in Nanaimo. Please help me,

I'm sure you know this by now but yes you do need a referral. I hope you have found some help since you wrote this. I experienced the same frustrations until I found a doctor that didn't brush me off. She referred me to Dr.Baker and he tried to help me. After many years of research and frustration it turns out I have a genetic disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I only mention this because it does not show up on regular tests and is highly under-diagnosed because most doctors don't know much about it due to it's supposed rarity. So hopefully anyone reading this that has been told nothing is wrong or their pain is all in their head, including you, look into EDS yourself to at least rule it out. If you do have it the chances of a doctor figuring it out on their own are very slim. Good luck and again, I hope you have found some help and relief since you wrote this.
