Hi, Newly diagnosed but I've had symptoms for several years. My pain currently (and have had spells of this before) is particularly bad in the front of my thighs.

Ive been seeing a physio since last summer privately , & saw her yesterday: she thinks it's not fibro pain (might disagree !) but is coming from 'L4' of my spine . So she given me exercises. Says might need MRI if doesn't improve as recurrent bad pains I've had.

Did a bit of googling !! It seems you can get spinal stenosis - separate I presume to fibromyalgia. But also read many with Fibro have thigh pain.

Its worse walking up stairs for example which sets it off.

I'll be pleased to hear if anyone else can relate or has any info.

Also , is it common Thanks.

@kcc73 One of the most common kinds of pain I have is in my thighs. The whole leg hurts, both legs, but the pain is far more intense in the thighs, and this has definitely been attributed to fibromyalgia, because no test has found any reason for that pain. In your case it could be caused by something else, or could be the fibro. If a doctor were telling me that a pain originated in a vertebra in my spine, I would ask them to show me the x-ray of my back that shows what the problem is in that area of my spine. It's possible, IF that is the origin, that a chiropractor could help you.

So funny that you asked this. I was just thinking about asking a very similar question. When I'm having a bad day I get worse pain in the front of my thighs and the top/front of my arms, especially with any exertion (simply walking will do it). It's just always seemed weird that it's always the front of my legs and arms.
