Hi Danny I have pain under ribs and the chest wall very often. Lots of muscles around that area. I usually check by pressing that its both sides then I know it FM and not anything unusual. All the best.

@danny0606 @30 plus years @marymi

Thanks for posting, Danny.

I get the same thing, have been checked for all sorts, and really, seems to get better with the types of things for indigestion and/or gas. Also, I had a bad spin, keeping me up until 3am, a couple of days ago. Searched for ideas (reputable sites) and honey was suggested. I think it actually helped. I've not come across that idea before.

I do have gastric reflux, but they seem independent of each other.

When I say checked, I've thought it might be heart related, but not at all. Than being said, if you think it maybe at all heart related, much better to get checked out. Better safe than sorry ;)

@danny0606 Yes, others have. If you search the forums using the word "costochondritis" you can find some posts.
So I have been diagnosed with costochondritis in the past then went to the top rib specialist in London Dr abassi he said I don't have this and there really is no such thing I must add I have a hiatal hernia and xphoid process has been removed aswell been through hell

Thanks

Yes- first time I thought I had bruised myself but then when it kept happening sporadically I knew it was the fibro

@danny0606 ..Fibromyalgia brings such a wide variety of different things that it's always hard to know what is being caused by that and what is something else.
We always recommend that any new symptom be checked out by your doctor, but if you have done that recently and have been told that it is not something else, then it is probably the fibro.
Still, I always believe in trusting our "gut" feelings about things. If you have a strong feeling that it is something other than the fibro, then seeing a specialist is a good idea, unless you have already seen all of the appropriate specialists for this kind of problem.

Hi, I’m 44+ years with this disease. If pain is under only one side of ribs (and feels like it reaches to your back), do check out Costochondritis, as suggested previously. If it is severe, don’t hesitate to see doctor. I’ve had many stomach pains, but under the rib cage, it’s always been Costochondritis. Best wishes.
