Do you ever feel like you are stuck in a vicious cycle? I have mentioned in multiple posts that I suffer from various illnesses. I have Fybro, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, colitis, IBS, ongoing headaches that last weeks, migraines, insomnia, feet numbness and pain, and degenerative back and hip problems.

I have missed a ton of work this past few months. It seems like two or more of the above keep hitting me. I'll start feeling better and work a day or two, then something else from the list hits, or the same thing strikes again. Primarily cycling right now is severe fatigue and ongoing headache. I have also been having severe bouts of colitis flareups. Does anyone else have this happen? This rotating, or piling on cycle? If so, any ideas on how to break it? I'm trying to decide if this is the next phase of this crap or if it's temporary and I'll have better days ahead for a while....

Terbaer, we are in the same boat! I know how hard is to live with migraine and headaches... I can live with pain in other places, but not my head! It's truly awful, no meds have helped with migraine, the only that helps is going to bed, next morning I usually feel well. By the way, I also suffer from colitis and IBS, it feels like it's a cyclical thing, sometimes I'm ok, normal BM, but sometimes I just keep running to the toilet. Sometimes no matter what I take I can't go... I call those sous ''colon crisis'' hehehe. My colon is one of my biggest issues right now and my head, starting to worry to be honest (I might have sinus infection or who knows what else).

Please don't ignore those symptoms you are having believing its all on fibro, if you are in doubt go see a doctor, specially if you are new to said symptoms. I will be going to see a lot specialist in the next months, because you just never know.

I just feel like it's all cycling. Each illness alone I've dealt with and been officially diagnosed, but it's all piling on. My gastro specialist says that the colitis will feed off of the other auto-immune stuff. I have an appointment with a group of specialists at the University, but can't get in until the end of July. I wish it was now....

I don't think it's all on fibro. I was told by the neurologist that I developed the migraines due to the pain I experience.

Those two are my biggest issues as well. A sinus infection would be easy to diagnose so if you think that's what's causing your pain, GET IN THERE! :-)

Thank you for sharing....Every time I read people's posts, I'm so amazed at how many are dealing with similar issues.

I'm glad you don't ignore symptoms and don't assume it's all on fibro ;) That's super important! I completely relate to the way you feel, but don't worry, time is going by soooo fast :) Very soon it will be your time to see those specialists! Hopefully they can shed some light on your issues, in my opinion the most scary part isn't knowing what's really going on. Best of luck with everything :)

Hi Terbaer, you sound just like me right now - except for the back and hip problems. I have been in a 5 - 6 week cycle right now with the symptoms jumping around every few days. When I spoke with my Doctor he said, well that is what Fibro does! He does not understand why I don't want to go on Cymbalta or Lyrica, the 2 meds he prescribes for Fibro. But I know he is right, sometimes you go thru cycles like this and sometimes you feel not too bad for awhile. From past experience I am hoping once it finally settles down that I will have at least an equally long cycle of feeling pretty good - that has happened a few times before after a bad spell. Hope you get a long stretch of feeling well too!

Amen Trellum!

Tracy45, I'm sorry you are going through the same cycle stuff I'm going through. I've tried Lyrica and am currently on Cymbalta. I think they help, but it's hard to know right now with the flare-up stuff. I too hope to have a long stretch of feeling well. I have a few vacations planned that I want to enjoy. I've decided, I'm not giving them up. It's family time and I feel like I let them down enough. There's nothing more important than family, well except maybe my own health so I can spend quality time with my family....Good luck to you and rest up!
