Medication

I go to yet another dr. Soon.
I'm pretty nervous, from what i heard from his secretary is its not his belief to perscribe certain meds. So what do i do? Just be frank and say " doc, i've been through 4 drs, 7 including visiting drs. 80 percent of whom just quit abruptly. , i've been laughed at, lied to, ...after everyone of these dr's left, i finally found someone who understands, but i have to see top dog dr. For pain mng. .in this clinic. Send positive thoughts my way pls. Thanks.

That seems so weird to me. I know that a psychiatrist has to prescribe medication rather than a psychologist/therapist. But I've never heard of a physician unable to prescribe medication for a diagnosis that they made for their patient. That pain management clinic sounds like bullpuckey. I will send out positive thoughts and prayers for you.
