I heard about the above med on the news.



Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Journavx (suzetrigine) 50 milligram oral tablets, a first-in-class non-opioid analgesic, to treat moderate to severe acute pain in adults. Journavx reduces pain by targeting a pain-signaling pathway involving sodium channels in the peripheral nervous system, before pain signals reach the brain.

Wonder if it would help my fibromyalgia flare?
 
It might be useful for people with fibro, although it is being called a medication for acute pain rather than chronic. If your doctor prescribes it for you, please post on the forum what that experience is like for you. It's always good to tell each other our experiences with various medications.
 
Currently, this new medication is only approved for acute, post-operative pain.
