Thanks Tipnatee, I'll definitely look into mineral deficiency. How did you go about finding out? I don't want to tell my GP, rheumatologist etc how to do their job but at the same time it would be really beneficial to find out. I realised that when I wear shoes with any heel at all, even a small block one I am plagued by bad muscle spasms/cramps in my calves or worse still my thigh. I'm not planning to wear anything other than flat shoes anytime soon but I wonder if finding out about mineral deficiencies and taking supplements would make a difference. That's definitely given me something to investigate though, thanks very much. I really appreciate it.
Take care. x
You know the saying that we know our self best? Research online can help you locating your deficiency. I was lucky to had some contacted with my old family doctor oversea at one time only which was not that long ago do to my anemia problem had return after being dianosed with fibro. It was a quick conversation but it gave me an idea of how much my body loose vitamins and mineral each day because I was anemic before. Then through trying to fix my anemia I came across stuffs that actually help my suffering points in fibro too. But that was also because I added it on top of my research on what supplement that most fibro are lacking.
Then after trials and errors , I have found what I my self actually need to take daily. Cause oddly my B12 is so high my fibro doctor was baffle about it and gave up lookng in to my deficiency problem. My teeth was falling and crumbling out of my mouth ( talk about true nightmare) , my hair was fallen off so much I had rock my head shaved my buzz cut for a while 8) , and my nails was peeled and brittled with white spottes and bruised
. That was how bad my deficiency was for me.
Luckily because of that I gains lots of knowledges about my own body. I might not even going to mention it to my doctor in the future visit too ,so that he can finally focus on the matters that I cannot fixing it my self.
Joint lubrication such as
collagen also a must have take which pretty much a big problem with hyper-mobility people. Basically just eat lots of jell-o . I bought unflavor gelatin powder for cooking, omg It's the best way to make meatless broth , or boosting food experince by giving it a velvet like silky texture.
But for the precautions, don't hide it from your doctor if they ask about any supplements taking do to sometime any drugs they might put you on later may have some interference with some supplement of your choosing. You can also say " I'm taking a multi supplements for my heath and watchin my diets so is anything I should avoid?" that should cover your problem with any doctors
