Is your bra bugging you? Don't worry!

I only wear a bra when I go out and even then it only one of those comfort ones like the arbra. I can't stand to have a underwire one on, just way to uncomfortable.

I never bothered with bras for years as I never had enough to put in one. Now somehow I'm a pigging double D! Christ knows how that happened. I get a silly idea to wear a real bra once in a while but always regret it. Just mainly for work I wear soft bras or things that look like cropped tank tops with a bit of supporting elastic. I don't much care for underwear.

This is very good news. No matter how espensive of a bra I buy they are all uncomfortable. I Have always been large chested, but I am of a smaller build. So my poor shoulders bear the wheight of my bras support. It never really used to bother me but as I get older gravity wants to win this battle. Its like there is a giant magnet on the floor and my boobs are a big fat refridgerator. So I wear my bra when I am going out anywhere. If ididn't it would look so bad. But when I am at home I do not wear one and I usually have a thick sweatshirt on.

There are times when wearing a bra is way to uncomfortable due to chest inflamation. Can't stand that band around my chest. The only bras I like are bali brand or those short tank pull-over ones. But like you say when at home keep it simple and don't stress out of going without and being much more comfortable. :)

YAY! to tell you the truth, I have never been into wearing them at all. I mean if I go out or work, then I have to, but I am really not into it. I also think that the studies that suggest that they have a link to breast cancer could be right. Here is an interesting webpage that is about going bra free, for the most part. I will say, that I've been bra free for most of my life, and I do not sag. So I think there is something to this study.

I hate bra's. I swear I think they were developed by some evil man to torture his wife - probably the same man who invented panty hose. Henry the 8th type of man. I am heavy, but small busted. I don't wear one except when I go for an interview or wear a type of shirt that begs for one. It's a shame that it's unconventional in our country/society to go without one. Do you think if men were required to wear them, they'd be so popular/proper?

Like most of you, I just wear mine to go out. Usually as soon as I know I'm home for the night I just strip down and get into my pjs anyway lol. Days go by before I wear one again.

I've had two fibrous masses - on about the size of a golf ball on my left breast, and one on the right breast about a pinky size and shape - removed at two different times. What the doctor, who was a breast cancer specialist and actually took great care of my mother, said was that I should never wear underwire bras as the underwire could agitate the area and perhaps increase the occurrence of the fibrous masses. No problem for me as I hate those uncomfortable things with a passion.

I am used to wearing bra and I grew old with that practice. I do not wear underwire everyday, though. I only use it in special occassions in which I have to look a bit nice and beautiful. A lift from the underwire really does wonders. But again, only in special occassions. At home and in the office, I wear the regular, comfortable bra with no wires. The fabric is mostly cotton so it is not hot when I am wearing one. At home, I only take it off when I am in bed. I cannot sleep very well with it on, so I just have to remove it and that does the trick.

I still cannot get used to going to the office or going outside with my twins "hanging". So I have to just wear a bra and that makes me more comfortable.

Do you have back pains from not wearing a bra? I have been in a debate with myself as to which is better, the support from the bra or the back pain without it. I have been having pains in my collarbone area lately and in my mid to upper back, and some how think it might be due to my breasts. They are larger than they have ever been, and the only thing that feels like it gives me enough support is a sports bra.

I only wear a bra when I go out. I have a 5 month old that I'm breast feeding so I'm like a 24 hour milk bar at the moment anywhere. A bra would just be one more thing I would have to mess with when the little one was having a fit for milk.

I''m sure in a few months a new study will be released that says wearing bra's doesn't cause saggy breasts. Or perhaps that wearing a bra can help your breasts to grow. Or to shrink. Or sparkle in the moonlight. Or somebody will pull out the old favourite out of the bag "Wearing bras causes cancer". *rolls eyes* I even read something a few months back where some scientist or other had decided that eating lettuce can cause cancer.

Take it all with a pinch of salt, ladies.

I don't wear them unless I am getting dressed up on a special occasion. Luckily I am small breasted so can get away with it and no one notices. I wear tank tops under my shirts and those spaghetti strap things my daughter calls cammies. Bras and sports bras tend to make my neck and shoulder pain flare up so I stay away from them. I am a firm believer that woman should be able go braless no matter what size they are if they prefer. Really I would rather see a woman going braless than a young kids with his pants around his thighs any day! There are definitely more disturbing fashion faux pas out there than this!

So true!

Also, the article says something kind of odd about the muscles surrounding the breast and their already being "degraded".

Those muscles do nothing about breast shape or fullness, at all. The breasts are bags of ducts, glands, and fat. There are tiny muscles in the ducts, but they do not support breast tissue.

Exercising the muscles of the chest wall does nothing to make a breast firmer or "perkier" because those muscles are not attached to anything inside the mammary globe.

You can exercise those muscles half to death and they'll feel firm under the skin, but the skin does not get firmer. Women who exercise to increase their bust size, or to recover a more youthful silhouette, end up with a rather muscular torso, and sagging breasts on top of firm pectoral muscles.

Anyway, I enjoy wearing bras, but I also enjoy wearing corsets and girdles while considering myself a modern" woman.

Good thing I only wear a bra when I go out, too! When I get home, the sisters have to breathe and be free. Nothing feels better than snapping it off after a long day... NOTHING! :-D
