I've heard that our gut is a second brain. If it has problems it will affect the whole body. This is all making more sense to me everyday. I've started in cheating and or neutralizing mold/yeast in my body and everything is starting to do better, the biggest surprise has been an improvement to my depression/anxiety. If I hadn't exsperiances for myself I would have never believed it! So yah, I think your into something. ; )

I'm betting on dopamine, not serotonin. Several doctors have pointed the finger at dopamine as a possible culprit.

I have all three, along with anxiety and asthma.

i suffer from all three plus other things as well. I think it's all in our brain and its complex structure... Because IBS is believed to originate in the brain, something about neurotransmitters and how they make simple impulses and contractions in the colon to be perceived as painful, even if they really aren't for most people. So I guess the explanation is similar for fibro and that is why a lot fibro sufferers also have to deal with the horrors of IBS... This is just a theory I came up with after reading a book about IBS and how to treat it naturally.

I suffer with all three and lots more interstitial cystitis, vulvodynia that no one else here seems to meantion, migraines tmj disorder, face pain,voice loss sore throats.....i agree with the above.... our brains get sick causing our bodies to dysfunction.
