I have had FM/RA symptoms for over 10 years. All I have managed to do for years is rule out my having an auto-immune disease like Lupus or MS. Which is good. But it doesn't get me any closer to help or a pain free life.
After years pursuing RA treatments, we switched to FM treatment. After being on a cocktail of Gabapentin (Neurontin), anti-inflammatory and pain killer for years, I moved to CA< found a new doctor, and I was given Savella to try 3 months ago.
The pain relief is great. The sweating, facial oil, pimples, etc., are life-altering for me. I know, first world problems, right?
I am weaning off of Savella now, and thought I would try Lyrica or something. Have you had a good or bad experience with Lyrica? I am sick of buckets of sweat pouring off my body with the slightest bit of exertion and all the extra work that comes with a body that is constantly producing oils and sweat. The stinging in my eyes! I can't see when I drive!
But now my hands really hurt again...at half dose of the Savella.
