I just joined here a couple of days ago. I honestly can't remember when I was diagnosed. My MD told me I had Fibromyalgia about 12-14 years ago. I was of the young age of 48. I had never heard of it and was not in constant pain so I would just deal when I would 'not feel good'.
I have noticed that things have progressed over the years and I found this site when I was doing a little research.... Just getting frustrated that the only meds the rheumatologist wanted to try was higher doses of cymbalta. I can't afford Lyrca and after trying the lowest dose of Gabapentin I could try, forget it I don't want any part of that stuff.
Anyhoo, I'm glad to be here.
