I am new here. I was diagnosed with fibro quite a few years ago. I was in an accident back when I was in high school (decades ago) where I was riding a bike and got hit by a car, and that is what started it all. I have been through the gamut of trying different ways to "heal." The only thing I have found that helps me is deep tissue massage. Fortunately I did find a private massage therapist who can do it well. That doesn't take it away but it at least reduces the problems to "bearable."
I understand the frustration of having no one in my life who takes this seriously. I have few friends now cuz I have given up trying to explain to them why I don't want to do all the things they want to do.
I am no longer willing to try and live up to other peoples' expectation of me, when they have no clue of what it is like to live with this.
I need people who understand. I want to encourage other people like me.
