Hi all not sure how to use threads but here goes: Had FM for 56 years. Changed from Lexo to Cymbalta successfully!! Lexo hard one to get off but had help. Took four weeks and then got COVID so downhill again. I think tha anti-viral made it worse but I believe good for some. I am sick to death of NOTHING working for IBS syndrome. Done everything including psyllium husks. I drink 2 litres of water/day to no avail. Sick of trying different food tolerances. So now I am eating very healthy food and not following any specific diet. Tried them all. I know I should have tolerance tests but at 76 I have too many appointments for all my health. So at this stage feeling good. Even able to ger help from a physio which has not worked in the past. Constipation is a dread. Ta for listening.

Glad to hear something is working for you.
I also feel that simply eating very healthy food and getting enough exercise is more important than following a specific diet, (unless of course a person has specific food intolerances).

I tried Cymbalta, and had terrible and absolutely unbearable side effects from it, which took months to subside completely even after I stopped taking the drug. Many others have had side effects as well. I hope you do not develop any of these!, but I am only mentioning this because if you do start to experience something new or strange, you will want to see your doctor because it might be from the cymbalta. I hope it continues to work successfully for you.......many people do benefit from it; it's such an individual thing.

I know what you mean about meds for IBS. I have tried many to no avail. I have been going to a specialist for 8 months and I still have all the same issues. Ugh 😫
