My name is Dawn and I am 67 yo. I was diagnosed in my 40's. But I know I had it beginning in my 20's.
Fibro is a major life disrupter. I pushed myself through my life - work, and all the other life activities. I had a break down in my early 50's and had to retire. I loved my job and I had a good salary and benefits. But I knew I was going to have that breakdown one day. My mantra was smile and put one foot in front of the other.
At the time, my husband did not understand my fibro and wouldn't do anything to educate himself. Although, he was loving and we had a good marriage, his denial
hurt more than the pain and misunderstanding by others.
Blessings to all of you and to those of you who are new to this "scourge" know that
there are people who do understand and you aren't alone.
