I guess I will start off saying that I am lactose intolerant, have IBS, have had my left ovary removed when I was 18, ganglion cycst removed from my left wrist, tonsils removed at age 25, hernia surgery in the exact spot that my ovary was removed, diagnosed with dry eye, have lipomas & have had lipomas removed. My pains all started back in 2006 when I was giving blood & my right arm started to hurt. I also noticed a lump in the bend of my arm where I had given blood. I went to the doctor & they wanted me to go to a specialist to figure out what it was & she also mentioned sending me to a Rheumatologist to see if I had fibromyalgia because I was getting pains in my neck & shoulder & my right foot & having seriously bad headaches but she never did so I just brushed that off. Well it turned out to be a lipoma or tumor & they said it really wasn't a big deal which was very comforting. Fast forward to 2010 when the lump had grown bigger and had been hurting way more than a lipoma should. I went back to that same doctor & had it removed and about two months later another one had grown in the same place, a smaller one had strarted growing next to it and on my other arm in the same spot there was one growing there too & have just had 4 lipomas removed this past October. I am now taking Lyrica & Cymbalta & occasionally when I just can't stand the pain anymore I take aTramadol which was left over from my surgery a few months ago. I also still take an 800 milligram ibuprofen too for headaches sometimes.
Since about May of this year when my husband's boss told him that if he didn't take a job offer in Alabama & start work right away he would be out of a job because his was going away in Charlotte it has been nothing but stressful. Our family has been under an enormous amount of stress due to having only a month and 1/2 to get our home ready to be sold (which largely fell on my shoulders since they wanted my husband here while my 13 yr old & 15 yr old finished up with school) which meant painting & fixing stuff & trying to find our 9 yr old dog a home & my son's lizard a home. We just sold our house, thank God, so that stress is gone but since we are so far away from all of our family & friends we didn't have the funds to go back home for Thanksgiving & we don't have the money to go home for Christmas either which is sad but we are going to try our best to make it a really good & special one for us and our boys.

Thank you for letting me tell my story.

Good heavens, you've been through a lot. I hope we here in the forum can be a source of support and comfort for you. I can't imagine how stressful all of that must have been. I hope things can begin to settle down a bit in your life and maybe you can find some relief for your physical problems.

Camlea13,
I am sure this time has been very hard on you physically and mentally. Fibro is more managable with the less stress the better, and yet you have been forced to uproot your family and move away from your home and friends and family. I feel your pain and heartache in the words you have written. But it is done at least the hardest parts other than finding your pets a good home. I wish you the best in that regard.

Now comes the time you need to take care of you. Relax when the children are at school. Take long bubble baths or watch a funny movie. Find a really good book to read and take time to sit and enjoy it. Walk around the block or your yard and enjoy nature. Do puzzles or create a new hobby, or pick up on a old one. Laugh more and enjoy fun games with your children. Make some new friends and write to your old friends. Try to smile and know that all of us on this forum care about you and hope above all that your days seem brighter and you can relax and let the stress flow out of your muscles so life becomes worth living again.

Please ask more questions and join in around the forum. Count me as a new friend. Most of all your not alone and battling fibro on your own anymore. We are here for you! :)

Thank you so much Corvid.

Thank you 1sweed. I think I may pick up crocheting or something along those lines. I have had the urge to try something new so that might be something good to try.
