Has anyone tried acupuncture

Yes, I have. I have a friend who is an acupuncture practitioner, and I have gone to see them more than once. Although the experience is pleasant and I feel good afterwards, it doesn't help for more than a couple of hours. Pretty much by the time I get home all the usual pain is back again.
However, don't let this discourage you from trying it if you feel inclined to!
Everyone's different, and it might help you more than it helps me.

Awww that must have been disappointing for you, the one my husband has spoken to says you have to have at least 4 to 6 sessions, did you have more than one session.
I haven't had mine yet but I will defo give it a go, thanks for your quick reply, keep well if you can x

Thanks, @Kitkat57 ....Yes, I had more than one session. But, as I said it's very important to keep in mind that what helps one person may or may not help another. Fibromyalgia is capricious in that way, which is why it's always good for people to post on this forum what has or has not helped them. There's no one thing that helps everyone or, for that matter, that never works for anyone!
Please feel free to post here and let us know if it helps you or not. I really hope it does!
And, to post about anything else you want to, including just rants or requests for advice, input, or support. We are all here to help and support each other, and to offer whatever information we can. Welcome to the forum. :)

Aww thank you so much, it warms my heart to know there are others to talk to and get help and advice, at the mo I'm taking lions mane mushroom liquid drops 60ml for enhanced mental clarity, then chaga mushroom 60.000 mg for recovery & muscle repair, which I'm 100% has helped me with morning stiffness.
Then reishi mushroom 60.000 mg for sleep stress & relaxation, all from the company fungibros, and as we say what works for one might not work for another but if we share and make just one other person more comfortable then it's an achievement.
Take care everyone x

Acupuncture is on my wish list to try someday. I've identified a few practitioners in my area, but that's about as far as I have gotten. Sometime next year I will give it a shot, and thank you for letting me know that one should give it several sessions.

Your so welcome, I'm going to try it when I come back from Poland for 4 days.
I'm hoping I can manage as it was booked a good while ago and think I've done too much today with Xmas tree and packing, I'm aching all over, so going to take it easy for the next few hours then off too bed. Try to keep well and to all our fybro friends on this forum x

Yes, I had acupuncture twice a week for a year or so because my husband exchanged doing some work for her for acupuncture sessions. It did not help. There was a 10 minute massage at the end of each session though, and that was wonderful. I went to a massage therapist who gave me an hour long massage which felt great but froze my neck so badly I couldn't swallow without screaming. I had to get a narcotic script from the all night pharmacy to relieve it. I was told later that releasing too many toxins at once can do that so you should start with try short massages. If I could still afford it now, I would get short massages regularly.

I'm in Poland at the mo with my hubby who is amazing, we had booked this trio way before I developed fybro.
We booked to go to auschwitz today to pay our respects, but coukd not go as fybro got me in the middle of the night I thought I did everything right to prepare for the trip didn't do too much in the day, went to bed early at 9pm woke up at 1am to go to the bathroom, and that was it the pain crept through my body with a vengeance, I walked the floor for an hour shuffling round trying not to wake my Hubby, nothing worked I tried to fall asleep sitting up I was so tired, but no I coukd not get to sleep, ribs were a dull ache, neck shoulders pain and stiffness, lower back legs, fingers and for arms.
I was truly demented with pain.
I have on some occasions if I wake to use the bathroom I cannot get back to sleep as some sort of horrible pain creeps in to get me, I don't take sleeping tablets, but I do take reishi holistic tablets for stress sleep and relaxation, and they are good, however can anyone reccomend something to help me sleep through so pain does not creep in, I know sunkancola reccomended cbd and thc which I can get when I get home, do you think this will help I'm trying not to take pharmaceutical drugs.
Many thanks for any reply and hope you all try to keep safe and well.

@Kitkat57 the only things that I can recommend that are not prescription drugs for sleep are magnesium and melatonin. But since I am not familiar at all with what you currently take, please do your research first and check for interactions.

I could probably come up with some more, but these are the first two that come to mind.

I hope you find something non-prescription to help you sleep.
