@Ian waxman You are not responsible for your addiction. You are only responsible for your recovery. You did what you needed and felt you had to do at the time. Please remember that and take comfort in it.
I have been reading your posts about your journey to recovery and you're suffering, and it's something I know a little about because I was addicted to alcohol at one point in my life. My concern for you right now is that you do not take matters into your own hands, but rather work very very closely with your health care provider on getting you through this safely. And if you have no faith in your health care provider or they are not taking this seriously enough, please find help elsewhere.
I worry that without proper guidance you will inadvertently harm yourself or make matters even worse. I hope that you will accept what I have said constructively and with only your best interests in my heart.
In the meantime, I'm just really so glad that you come here to vent and lean on all of our shoulders collectively. We do have some big shoulders. Keep coming back okay. I care about you.
Hugs!
