I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2005. I continued to work fulltime but struggled with many difficulties and tried many different therapies over the years. I was referred to a rheumatologist and also Dr. of internal medicine. They both said they could not help me. The rheumatologist said I wasn't sick enough and I cried all the way home. I took many OTC pain pills until my stomach and liver started to be affected. I had to retire at 60 because I couldnt keep up the pace. As a long time health promoter in Public Health I knew that I was doing the best I could. At this point I would like to connect with others who have the same issues and be informed of any new developments.
