After a right lung resection in 2002, I spent five years trying to find a doctor who could alleviate the pain that never went away from my surgery. In 2007, a doctor diagnosed Fibro due to the shock to my body from the lung resection. My radiation oncologist agreed with him. The most painful thing I’ve ever experienced, it was like 2X child birth. It was a month before I could hold a pencil. While the pain decreased as the 8-inch incision and the three muscle layers, that had been cut to reach my lung, healed, I still suffered from nerve/tissue? pain that moved around my back and later branched out to my upper arms and thighs. There were days when I couldn’t get out-of-bed let alone go to work. After the fibro diagnosis, I was treated for pain relief. Lots of ups and downs. I have learned a lot of unpleasant things about the difference between genesis and brand-name drugs. They exist big time.
